MEDICAL DRY FILM (Mammography Film)

Mammography Film is a dry-processing film designed for digital mammography. With a maximum optical density over 4, it clearly shows subtle gray-scale changes essential for diagnosis, producing clinical-grade hardcopy images. It features a 175μm blue PET base, coated with a silver halide thermal imaging layer and protective coating, offering low fog, high contrast, and scratch resistance. Supporting daylight loading (no darkroom needed), it uses direct digital imaging technology to eliminate wet processing, cutting chemical waste costs and complex debugging. Its packaging is recyclable, printed images archive for at least 15 years, and it works with printers—providing an efficient, cost-effective, eco-friendly mammography imaging solution.

Description

Mammography Film: The Choice for Dry Hardcopy Imaging

Mammography Film is a dry-processing film with high density and high contrast, specially designed for digital mammography scenarios to provide high-quality image output support for clinical practice.

Superior Imaging for Accurate Diagnosis

We developed this Mammography Film to meet the core requirement of high optical density in digital mammography. It boasts a maximum density of over 4, clearly presenting even the subtle gray-scale changes essential for mammographic diagnosis. It produces diagnostic-grade hardcopy images that meet clinical standards, offering a reliable basis for medical judgment. Meanwhile, the film utilizes a silver-based thermal-sensitive imaging layer; its non-light-sensitive property delivers low fog and high contrast. Paired with the blue PET base, it further ensures image clarity and stability.

Scientific Structure: Practical and Durable

Mammography Film features a 170±5μm-thick PET (polyethylene terephthalate) base, with a silver halide imaging layer and a protective coating on its surface. The rounded-corner base lets medical staff operate it just like conventional X-ray films, so they can master its use quickly. The top protective coating gives the film excellent scratch resistance, reducing damage risks during use. In addition, the film supports daylight loading (no darkroom needed) and works with  dedicated printers, making the imaging process more convenient and efficient.

Dry Process: Cost-Effective and Eco-Friendly

With direct digital imaging technology, mammography film requires no wet processing. This eliminates costs for chemical waste disposal and complex cleaning/debugging work, giving it significant comprehensive cost advantages. The film’s packaging is recyclable, and the matching dry imaging process aligns with green healthcare concepts. It also offers excellent archiving performance—printed images can stay intact for at least 15 years, meeting clinical archiving needs.
