AGFA DRYSTAR 5503 is a thermal film printer designed for efficient medical imaging. It combines advanced direct digital imaging technology with practical features, meeting the diverse needs of multiple departments and providing high-quality, convenient hardcopy output support for diagnostic work.

Equipped with upgraded Direct Digital Imaging (DDI) technology integrated with A#Sharp technology, it significantly enhances imaging capabilities. This ensures sharper images in all applications, consistently delivering high-quality diagnostic-grade grayscale hard copies.

With a processing capacity of up to 100 sheets of 14×17-inch film (Genrad) per hour, it easily handles printing tasks for various modalities such as CT, MRI, DSA, and digital radiography, providing stable and efficient imaging support for busy medical departments.

It supports multiple film sizes from 8×10 inches to 14×17 inches. Three input trays can simultaneously load 3 commonly used sizes online, eliminating the need for frequent film changes to meet different scenario requirements. Its compact size achieves excellent functional diversity.

Featuring a unique sorting function, it can intelligently classify and process printing tasks according to modality or patient records. This effectively avoids output bottlenecks during high-traffic input, reduces congestion in work processes, and makes operations smoother.

Through intelligent matching of direct digital imaging technology, dedicated media, and the device, it forms an efficient integrated printing system. Paired with Agfa dry film, it not only delivers excellent imaging quality but also supports daylight loading, eliminating the need for darkrooms and wet processing procedures, and saving costs and troubles related to chemical reagents.

The optional mammography printing function can be added. Using dedicated mammography dry film, combined with 508dpi resolution and A#Sharp technology, it outputs high-quality mammographic images that meet standards. In mammography mode, it can process 140 8×10-inch films per hour, easily adapting to the needs of mammography departments, and also has a built-in automatic quality assurance tool to assist daily checks.
